Night One

So last night was just a paperwork/meet n’ greet thing for the families and facilitators for the Hospice thing I’m doing.  I’m glad we didn’t jump straight into groups.  I am really very timid around new people…I know, you wonder how this could be true.  It’s really only true when I have to censor myself.  You know I’m a no-filter having freak.  I have the tendency to think things I say will be well-received because they are friggin’ hilarious.  BUT, that’s because I spend a lot of time with you people who accept that and think similarly.

I forced myself to talk to teenagers, whom I’m terrified of.  They are the hardest eggs to crack.  Adults tend to have compassion for whatever you may be experiencing, even when they are most vulnerable.  Little kids are just honest and therefore what you see is what you get.

Overall a good little toe in the pool.  I’m really looking forward to next week.

Also, I hope to get closer to Casey Bell, as she is AWESOME!  I like the way she serves pizza.  “Welcome!  One for you, One for me.  Oh, hello…nice to meet you.  One for you, One for me.”  Yeah, Mangia pizza is really hard to step away from.  Especially when there is an abundance of it.
